The Province takes another step improving access to government programs and services for Indigenous Peoples and racialized communities, with the release of 12 priorities for anti-racism research.

Premier David Eby and Kelli Paddon, Parliamentary Secretary for Gender Equity, have issued the following statement for International Women’s Day:

As a step to dismantle systemic racism and discrimination faced by Indigenous, Black and people of colour, the Province is introducing the anti-racism data act. 

New data released by Statistics Canada shows that British Columbia broke a record for the number of people moving to the province in 2021.

The next generation of B.C.’s leaders will have a new platform to help shape government policy and priorities through the creation of the StrongerBC Young Leaders Council.

British Columbians are encouraged to help shape B.C.’s anti-racism data legislation, so government can better identify existing gaps and create a more inclusive, equitable province.

More than 300,000 front-line workers, including first responders, grocery store employees, and teachers and child care workers, will be eligible for COVID-19 vaccinations over the coming weeks as the Province’s COVID-19 Immunization Plan moves forward ahead of schedule.
