The holiday season can be an expensive time for B.C. families. The financial strain, when combined with the high cost of rent and child care, can result in added stress for parents.

Parents in Lake Country will soon have access to 60 new licensed child care spaces as part of a partnership between the Ministry of Children and Family Development, District of Lake Country and the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs.

Families at Okanagan College’s Little Scholars are now paying no more than $200 a month per child as part of the B.C. government’s universal child care prototype project.

Families at Langara Child Development Centre are now paying no more than $200 a month per child as part of a B.C. government universal child care prototype project.

Families at two child care facilities in the Nechako Lakes area are now paying no more than $200 a month per child as part of the B.C. government’s universal child care prototype project.

Families at Elm Drive YMCA Child Care are now paying no more than $200 a month per child as part of the Province’s universal child care prototype project.

Families at the Selkirk College Children’s Centre are now paying no more than $200 a month per child as part of the B.C. government’s universal child care prototype project.
