Throughout November, B.C. celebrates Adoption Awareness Month to acknowledge the many families created through adoption and bring attention to those children and youth who still need the care and love of a permanent family.

Foster families enjoyed a BC Lions game, thanks to a partnership between the football club and the provincial government. Fifty foster families cheered on the Lions Oct. 29th as they hosted the Edmonton Eskimos. The foster families even went on the field before the game to watch the Lions' pre-game warm-up.

Members of the Community Social Services Bargaining Association have ratified the agreement reached with the Community Social Services Employers' Association under the government's 2010 mandate, announced Finance Minister Kevin Falcon.

Students at Florence Nightingale Elementary school started their day off right this morning with a healthy breakfast to fuel their minds and bodies for another day of learning.

Tomorrow is Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Prevention and Support Day in B.C. and several community events are taking place in Vancouver to help raise awareness about the disorder and the struggles that families living with FASD go through every day.
