It’s time to get out the calendar and plan camping trips in more provincial parks this spring.

The Environmental Assessment Office (EAO) issued an administrative penalty totalling $25,000 to Newmont Corporation (formerly Newcrest Red Chris Mining Limited) on Dec. 18, 2023.

This winter, visitors will need to reserve a free vehicle day-use pass to visit Mount Seymour Park from Dec. 14 until Jan. 8, 2024, and on weekends and holidays until March 31, 2024.
