People and communities are benefiting from reduced emissions, cleaner air and more jobs in the clean economy thanks to investments in new, clean technology in local industries.

New members of B.C.’s Climate Solutions Council will support the Province’s work to transition to a clean economy with good, sustainable jobs for British Columbians.

Local governments and Modern Treaty Nations will be able to begin work on larger climate-action projects, protecting communities for the next generation of British Columbians.

An environmental assessment certificate has been issued for the Tilbury marine jetty project on Tilbury Island in Delta, following a decision by the Province.

British Columbia’s continued progress on climate action is demonstrated in the newly released 2023 Climate Change Accountability Report, which outlines the actions and results of B.C.’s work to meet the Province’s climate targets.

A B.C. environmental assessment certificate has been issued to Vancouver Fraser Port Authority for the proposed Roberts Bank Terminal 2 in Delta, which follows federal approval earlier this year.

The Province has appointed three new members to British Columbia’s independent Climate Solutions Council.

To assist the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure in its efforts to reopen Highway 4 to single-lane-alternating traffic, three day-use parks will be closed to the public until the highway fully reopens.
