Young people on the northeastern end of Vancouver Island now have faster and easier access to much-needed mental-health and addiction supports.

Jennifer Whiteside, Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, has released the following statement regarding the BC Coroners Service’s report on illicit drug-toxicity deaths in April:

Women and girls in British Columbia living with addiction challenges will benefit from continued treatment and recovery services, thanks to provincial funding.

People living with complex mental-health and addictions challenges in New Westminster and the Tri-Cities area will have access to more supports to help them stabilize their lives and break the cycle of homelessness as the Province adds complex-care housing services for the region.
