The Government of British Columbia is moving ahead with new affordable rental homes for people with low to moderate incomes, including seniors and people with disabilities living in Vernon.

An innovative, affordable housing project will bring together Indigenous youth and elders in Kamloops, with the Government of British Columbia announcing a commitment of approximately $4.7 million.

People in Kelowna experiencing homelessness will have a safe and warm place to stay, as the operation of the Cornerstone temporary shelter has been extended until March 31, 2019.

The Province is working with the City of Abbotsford on two new supportive housing buildings for people struggling with homelessness, including one building focused on helping women experiencing homelessness transition toward more permanent housing.
