Modern public infrastructure is key to promoting economic growth, strengthening the middle class and developing healthy, sustainable communities. That is why the Government of Canada is renewing its commitment to local governments through the federal Gas Tax Fund and delivering much needed support for their local priorities. 

Every Canadian deserves a safe and affordable place to call home.  That is why the Government of Canada launched Canada's very first National Housing Strategy, a once-in-a-generation investment to fight homelessness and improve access to affordable housing for Canadians and signed a new memorandum of intent (MOI) with the British Columbia government.

For the first time, governments in B.C. and Ottawa are aligned in their commitment to reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples.
