China Southern Airlines will operate a nonstop flight three times a week from the city of Guangzhou to YVR. The flights will provide lots of options for passengers travelling on business and for pleasure and also mean new jobs for many Lower Mainland families.

The Olympic cauldron burns bright in honour of the Vancouver Canucks. Premier Christy Clark, was joined by Dave Babych, former Canuck's defenceman, to reignite the flame.

Liberal Party earlier this year and was sworn in as B.C.'s 35th Premier on March 14, 2011. On May 12, 2011 she won a by-election in the Vancouver-Point Grey riding.
