The Province has provided $50,000 to the Council of Senior Citizens' Organizations of B.C. (COSCO) to support its conference this fall on healthy aging for seniors.

The Province’s investment will be reaching up to $52 million in a home health monitoring partnership with TELUS to advance access for British Columbians with complex care needs using technology to help manage their health conditions.

Excitement was in the air as Royal Inland Hospital celebrated 75 days until the opening of the new Clinical Services Building. The milestone was marked by the unveiling of a countdown clock that will signify the final days before care begins in the newest addition to the Royal Inland Hospital campus.

The Ministry of Health is updating and expanding PharmaCare’s Reference Drug Program, with a focus on meeting the medical needs of patients.

The Province has provided $50,000 for Concerts in Care, which offers musical programs for seniors in B.C. care homes.

To further support the positive mental health and well-being of British Columbia children, youth and families, the Province is investing $850,000 in the F.O.R.C.E Society for Kids’ Mental Health.

The green bond issued to finance Penticton Regional Hospital’s new patient care tower and parkade is one of only two issuances to date for B.C. public-private partnership projects.

The Province has provided $3 million to the B.C. Schizophrenia Society (BCSS) to help expand their provincewide caregiver network, announced Health Minister Terry Lake, marking national Schizophrenia Awareness Day. The network supports family and friends who are caring for loved ones with schizophrenia or serious mental illness.
