Drivers are advised that Highway 1 near Three Valley Gap, 19 kilometres west of Revelstoke, will be closed in both directions on Tuesday, Sept. 20, to facilitate the safe installation of the first four Remote Avalanche Control systems.

Major construction will begin in early October on the project to replace the Vedder Bridge and upgrade the Vedder/Chilliwack Lake Road intersection.

Plans to upgrade Kamloops Transit’s full fleet of busses to compressed natural gas (CNG) powered vehicles that come with modern features like Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) received the green light from city council after a successful pilot that showed these busses to perform well in all four seasons while garnering significant savings in operating costs.
