The Province will increase and strengthen conservation in its world-renowned parks with a new investment of $35 million over the next three years.

As part of the surveillance related to the opioid overdose public health emergency, the province has confirmed through laboratory testing that carfentanil is present in the illegal drug supply in the lower mainland and being ingested.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is congratulating the City of Prince George for committing five years of funding towards the transit component of the B.C. government’s Highway 16 Transportation Action Plan.

The Province has provided $7.125 million to create new hospice beds in communities around British Columbia, make improvements to current spaces, and support best practices in the palliative approach to care as well as advance care planning, working through the BC Centre for Palliative Care.

The Province has provided $40,000 for improved access to hospice palliative care in Cranbrook and Kimberley.

The Province has provided $240,000 for improved hospice palliative care services in White Rock/South Surrey.

Starting this weekend, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure will be conducting tests of a cable collar drop system (like the system being used on the Port Mann Bridge) to see if this type of snow-clearing system would be feasible on the Alex Fraser Bridge.

The Province has provided $90,000 for improved access to hospice palliative care in Kelowna.
