BC Timber Sales (BCTS) was established in 2003 to manage harvesting and reforestation on a significant portion of British Columbia’s provincial forest, providing benchmark costs and prices for provincial public timber harvesting in British Columbia.

BC Timber Sales and the BC Wildfire Service are planning to conduct a 50-hectare prescribed burn about 75 kilometres east of Prince George and about seven kilometres north of the Fraser River.

BC Timber Sales and the BC Wildfire Service are planning to conduct a 15-hectare prescribed burn in the Clemina Creek area, about 30 kilometres south of Valemount and about 60 kilometres north of Blue River.

Beginning June 1, 2018, the Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development will begin deactivating up to 500 kilometres of permit roads located in BC Timber Sales operating areas, throughout the Quesnel Natural Resource District – weather permitting.
