Judy Darcy, Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, has released the following statement on the BC Coroners Service’s monthly illicit drug toxicity deaths report for June 2020:

The BC Coroners Service has published updated reports on illicit drug toxicity deaths and fentanyl-detected drug deaths for the first six months of 2020, with 175 illicit drug toxicity deaths reported in June.

With funding from the B.C. government, the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation has approved seven more projects that will help restore caribou habitat in British Columbia, through the organization’s Caribou Habitat Restoration Fund.

A 67-kilometre section of the Columbia and Western Rail Trail will remain part of The Great Trail (formerly known as the Trans Canada Trail) and will be available for recreational purposes year-round.
