The Province is extending a temporary ministerial order until Dec. 31, 2020, to continue to allow health-care workers and other public sector staff to use communication tools not normally permitted for use during the COVID-19 state of emergency.

Families and seniors with lower incomes will soon have access to new, affordable rental homes, with construction underway on a four-unit housing project in the community.

This week marks the 10th BC Child and Youth in Care Week.

Youth who have aged out of government care and are ready to pursue post-secondary education this fall will have an additional $250,000 from the Youth Futures Education Fund (YFEF) to help them with expenses beyond tuition, such as rent, utilities and groceries.

The Province is providing temporary relief to hospitality licensees who have had to suspend their operations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Indigenous children and youth in government care and former youth in care are entitled to consistent and reliable support at school, home and in their communities, to ensure they get the most out of their school years and are set up for success in life.
