More than 10,000 students will soon have access to new, safe and accessible playgrounds this school year, for a total of 35,000 students over three years, as the Province invests another $5 million to support the health and well-being of children.

The Ministry of Labour will begin a focused engagement with stakeholders about contract tendering in B.C.’s forestry sector to identify improvements that will support the long-term stability of jobs and economic recovery in the sector.

The CleanBC Building Innovation Fund (CBBIF) is providing support to 13 projects throughout the Province and receiving $8 million for a second intake as part of British Columbia’s Economic Recovery Plan.

Temporary foreign workers who come to B.C. to work will be better protected now that the employers who want to hire these workers will be required to register with the Province as of Dec. 15, 2020.

Community-based sports groups facing the risk of closing are encouraged to apply for support from the Province’s $1.5-million Local Sport Relief Fund.
