Eighteen people in British Columbia are being honoured with the Province’s Medal of Good Citizenship for their extraordinary contributions to their communities.

Twenty-one people throughout B.C. are being honoured with the Medal of Good Citizenship (MGC) for extraordinary contributions to community life.

To celebrate BC Culture Days from Sept. 22 until Oct. 15, 2023, hundreds of free activities and events are scheduled throughout British Columbia.

Nominations are open for the Province’s Medal of Good Citizenship for 2023.

The revitalization of Vancouver Chinatown is being supported by the Province with $2.2 million to create a more vibrant neighbourhood for residents, visitors and businesses.

The popular Old Town gallery will once again be part of the Royal BC Museum (RBCM) experience for visitors when it reopens on July 29, 2023.

Repairs to the dome at Science World and other tourism infrastructure throughout B.C. will receive a $50-million boost to keep building the province as a world-class tourism destination.

The Chinese Canadian Museum is receiving an additional $10 million from the Province to support renovations and operating costs as the museum prepares for its public opening on July 1, 2023. 

Families throughout B.C. will have access to free Family Day activities Feb. 17-20, supported by $300,000 from the Province.
