Essential travel restrictions on Highway 7 between Mission and Hope have been lifted, helping restore regular travel activities between the communities.

Crews have made progress in clearing Highway 7 between Agassiz and Hope, and the highway will reopen in a limited capacity at 5 p.m., Wednesday, November 17.

Highway 11 between Hazelwood Avenue and Clayburn Road has reopened to passenger and emergency vehicles, restoring the highway connection between Abbotsford and Mission.

Highway 99 between Pemberton and Lillooet reopened to essential travel on Saturday, Dec. 4 following cleanup of a substantial slide across the highway near Duffy Lake. 

The Malahat (Highway 1) is now open to continuous two-way traffic around the clock for oversized vehicles.

As winter approaches, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is readying Lower Mainland highways and bridges to keep people and goods moving safely and efficiently during inclement weather.
