British Columbia is donating $1 million in relief to the Canadian Red Cross’s humanitarian efforts in Türkiye and Syria following the recent devastating earthquakes.

Premier David Eby; Adrian Dix, Minister of Health; and Jennifer Whiteside, Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, have issued the following statement about the bilateral agreement in principle with the Government of Canada:

The Health Employers Association of BC and the members of the Community Health Bargaining Association (CBA) have ratified an agreement under the Shared Recovery Mandate.

People can get involved in the timber supply review for the Sunshine Coast Timber Supply Area (TSA) by submitting comments before May 1, 2023.

Drivers are advised that Langley Bypass (Highway 10) will be fully closed for 24 hours at the CP Rail crossing, just west of Glover Road in Langley.

Drivers are advised to prepare for more snowfall and possible delays when travelling on Vancouver Island on Monday evening and through Tuesday afternoon.

As snow continues to fall throughout the Lower Mainland, drivers and commuters are advised to plan ahead to avoid delays.   

People with children aged six months to four years are advised that Canada’s current supply of the infant Moderna mRNA COVID-19 vaccine expires on March 8, 2023.
