Additional federal-provincial funding is coming to the BC Farmers’ Market Expansion Program, further supporting the province's local farmers' markets and vendors.

Rachna Singh, Parliamentary Secretary for Anti-Racism Initiatives, has issued the following statement in honour of Asian Heritage Month:

Effective May 1, 2022, Medical Services Plan (MSP) policy will be updated so individuals who remain in B.C. with maintained status will have access to temporary MSP coverage until a decision is made by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on their application for extension.

The BC Coroners Service has scheduled a public inquest into the death of Traevon Desjarlais, which will begin on Nov. 28, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. at the Burnaby Coroners’ Court (20th floor, 4720 Kingsway, Metrotower II, Metrotown, Burnaby).

B.C. farmers and producers now have until June 30, 2022, to enrol in the Federal-Provincial-Territorial AgriStability Program, giving them an extra two months to assess their risk-management needs.  

People living on Vancouver Island will benefit from an additional 2,300 surgeries and 2,300 endoscopies per year, as Island Health assumes the leases and buys assets from two private surgical centres.
