A one-year extension to the BC Bus North service has been granted, meaning people who live and work in northern British Columbia can continue to rely on inter-city bus service.

In the Vancouver Island and Vancouver, Coast & Mountains regions, 14 communities with local economies that depend heavily on visitors have received $9.2 million to support tourism infrastructure development.

In the Thompson Okanagan region, six communities with local economies that depend heavily on visitors have received almost $2.8 million to support tourism infrastructure development.

In the Kootenay Rockies region, eight communities with local economies that depend heavily on visitors have received almost $5 million to support tourism infrastructure development.

In the Cariboo and North Coast regions, four communities with local economies that depend heavily on visitors have received $2.4 million to support tourism infrastructure development.
