More people in Delta and surrounding area will have access to high-quality long-term care as Fraser Health prepares to build a new care community with 200 beds.

People and businesses in British Columbia will benefit from new jobs, diversified supply chains and a stronger, cleaner economy following the Province’s successful trade mission to Asia. 

The Province is providing $1.6 million for a new campaign to help educate people about proper smoke-alarm use and reducing fire risks, which will save lives and protect first responders.

Harry Bains, Minister of Labour, has issued the following statement in regard to the Fraser Valley transit labour dispute: 

The Province and Fraser Health are taking action to improve access to health care for people in Surrey by providing immediate assistance with further help available in the coming months and planning underway to expand the hospital.

The Law Foundation of British Columbia will be working with government to develop a plan to distribute $3 million in new funding for restorative justice in B.C.

Highway 4 remains closed at Cameron Lake Bluff due to wildfire affecting the area.

The Province’s Residential Tenancy Branch (RTB) is offering real-time interpretation services in more than 200 languages for dispute resolution and other information.

Drivers are advised Highway 4 is closed at Cameron Lake Bluff, near Koen Road, because of wildfire in the area. Travellers are asked to avoid travel in this area.
