New members of B.C.’s Climate Solutions Council will support the Province’s work to transition to a clean economy with good, sustainable jobs for British Columbians.

New support for Youth Climate Corps B.C. means more young people in British Columbia can train for careers that will help their communities reduce emissions and adapt to the changing climate.

More than two million individuals and families will see more money in their bank accounts as the climate action tax credit arrives this week.

The Province will implement a backstop to the federal cap on emissions from the oil and gas sector to support a clean-energy future for British Columbians.

People will have more opportunities to enjoy multi-use pathways, protected bike lanes, pedestrian bridges and safety improvements as local, regional and Indigenous governments expand their active transportation infrastructure.

Josie Osborne, Minister of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation, and Brittny Anderson, MLA for Nelson-Creston, met with community climate leaders in Nelson to discuss how Budget 2024 can help support people in the region to transition to a low-carbon economy and meet shared CleanBC goals.
