Harry Bains, Minister of Labour, has issued the following statement on the workers’ compensation system:

The eastbound lanes of Highway 1 are open in the Bridal Falls area, fully reopening the highway with two lanes in each direction between Abbotsford and Hope.

The Province, through BC Housing, is partnering with the City of New Westminster on a proposal to create approximately 52 new supportive homes for people experiencing homelessness in the city.

To help vulnerable young people avoid gang and criminal lifestyles, the Province is providing more than $486,000 in grants to fund mentorship programs in 24 school districts around British Columbia.
