Indigenous Peoples in the Alberni Valley will soon have access to 35 new homes as construction gets underway on a rental housing development in Port Alberni.

Tradespeople in British Columbia now have access to new and specialized training opportunities through TradeUpBC, an online hub that supports experienced trades professionals and employers.

With an expansion of eligibility criteria, more than 9,000 current and former youth in care will have access to essential financial, housing, educational, medical and cultural supports.  

New funding for research infrastructure at a B.C. university supports an innovative project that will use the most realistic and robust methods available to identify resilient features of our body’s metabolism that could be targeted to fight common and debilitating diseases such as obesity, diabetes and obesity-driven cancers.
