Repairs to the dome at Science World and other tourism infrastructure throughout B.C. will receive a $50-million boost to keep building the province as a world-class tourism destination.

The Chinese Canadian Museum is receiving an additional $10 million from the Province to support renovations and operating costs as the museum prepares for its public opening on July 1, 2023. 

Families throughout B.C. will have access to free Family Day activities Feb. 17-20, supported by $300,000 from the Province.

More than 250 artists and arts organizations throughout B.C. are benefiting from over $2.7 million in BC Arts Council (BCAC) grants to support a more inclusive and diverse arts sector.

The Province has provided funding to approximately 100 organizations through its Tourism Events Program (TEP) to build B.C.’s reputation as an events destination and increase visitation.

The Province is highlighting several commitments to programs that make sporting activities more affordable for families and empower under-represented children and youth to jump back into sport and physical activities, regardless of family finances.

To celebrate BC Culture Days, from Sept. 23 to Oct. 16, 2022, the Province is providing support for free and affordable activities and events throughout British Columbia.

British Columbians are encouraged to nominate their fellow citizens who have made outstanding contributions through exceptional service to their communities for this year's Medal of Good Citizenship.

The historic Wing Sang Building, the oldest building in Vancouver Chinatown, will be the permanent site of the Chinese Canadian Museum.
