British Columbians are encouraged to nominate their fellow citizens who have made outstanding contributions through exceptional service to their communities for this year's Medal of Good Citizenship.

The historic Wing Sang Building, the oldest building in Vancouver Chinatown, will be the permanent site of the Chinese Canadian Museum.

Beginning on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, British Columbia will take the next step in safely bringing people back together, transitioning into Step 2 of BC’s Restart plan, including lifting restrictions on travel within B.C. 

The Province is further increasing resources to address racism and expand multiculturalism throughout B.C. as part of the economic recovery from COVID-19.

Anne Kang, Minister Responsible for Multiculturalism, has issued the following statement in honour of BC Multiculturalism Week, Nov. 15-21, 2020:

Starting Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020, people can visit the Chinese Canadian Museum’s temporary exhibit in Vancouver Chinatown for free.

The Province is strengthening anti-hate and anti-racism supports for communities with 13 new organizations offering Resilience BC services on B.C.’s Lower Mainland.

To ensure people can learn more about Chinese Canadians’ contributions to British Columbia, the B.C. government is taking a significant step toward establishing a museum that honours Chinese Canadian history and living heritage.
