Eighteen people in British Columbia are being honoured with the Province’s Medal of Good Citizenship for their extraordinary contributions to their communities.

Twenty-one people throughout B.C. are being honoured with the Medal of Good Citizenship (MGC) for extraordinary contributions to community life.

To celebrate BC Culture Days from Sept. 22 until Oct. 15, 2023, hundreds of free activities and events are scheduled throughout British Columbia.

Nominations are open for the Province’s Medal of Good Citizenship for 2023.

The popular Old Town gallery will once again be part of the Royal BC Museum (RBCM) experience for visitors when it reopens on July 29, 2023.

The Province has provided funding to approximately 100 organizations through its Tourism Events Program (TEP) to build B.C.’s reputation as an events destination and increase visitation.

The Province is highlighting several commitments to programs that make sporting activities more affordable for families and empower under-represented children and youth to jump back into sport and physical activities, regardless of family finances.

To celebrate BC Culture Days, from Sept. 23 to Oct. 16, 2022, the Province is providing support for free and affordable activities and events throughout British Columbia.
