More people with accessibility challenges throughout the province will soon have better access to wheelchair-accessible taxis, reducing wait times and allowing them to get around their communities with ease.

British Columbia’s commercial vehicle sector is accelerating toward the clean transportation economy with provincial support to help organizations achieve their climate goals, reduce costs and remain competitive.

Feedback gathered through the Province’s public engagement about app-based ride-hailing and food-delivery work has been compiled into a “what we heard” report.

As British Columbians are embracing zero-emission vehicles faster than any other jurisdiction in Canada, the Province is helping them go electric with $26 million in new funding for public charging stations.

Drivers are reminded that the Pattullo Bridge between Surrey and New Westminster will be closed in both directions starting on Thursday, April 6, at 10 p.m. and reopening on Tuesday, April 11, at 5 a.m.

The Province is advancing design work for collision barriers to protect the Lions Gate Bridge and Ironworkers Memorial Bridge from damage in the unlikely event of a vessel strike.
