Rachna Singh, Parliamentary Secretary for Anti-Racism Initiatives, has released the following statement to mark Sikh Heritage Month:

Approximately 600 instances of gendered language across 15 ministries' regulations have been updated to reflect the diversity of the people served by the B.C. government.

The Province is amending regulations to allow email as a method of service between landlords and tenants, making it easier for people to participate in the dispute resolution process.

Non-profits are receiving more than $11 million from B.C.’s Community Gaming Grants to boost conservation and public safety programs that will benefit British Columbians around the province. 

A state-of-the-art courthouse has opened in Abbotsford that will make justice services more accessible and convenient for people in the region.

People in 29 communities throughout the province will benefit from capital project funding for the health and social services sector, search and rescue operations, and arts and recreation facilities, through Community Gaming Grants.

Thirty-eight new supportive homes are opening in Surrey, while construction is set to start on 40 additional homes for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in the community.
