Premier David Eby and representatives from Meta, Google, TikTok, Snap, and X have issued the following statement:  

The Province is continuing to take action to keep people and communities safe through new initiatives that help to combat gangs, fight organized crime, and stop criminals from bringing violence and toxic drugs into communities.

ICBC is providing a $110 rebate to eligible drivers through prudent financial management and better-than-expected investment income.

People accessing health care will benefit from a stronger workforce as the Province further invests in recruitment, retention and training initiatives for allied health and clinical support workers.

New short-term rental rules that will deliver more homes for people are set to come into effect on May 1, 2024, as the Province releases additional information to guide hosts, platforms and visitors through the changes.
