The B.C. government has provided $60,000 to complete renovations at an eight-bed supportive-housing building for homeless men in Kelowna.

To help support better building practices, including improved energy efficiency in homes, Minister Responsible for Housing Rich Coleman announced four updates to the BC Building Code.

The B.C. government will fund approximately 145 extreme weather shelter spaces across Greater Victoria this winter to help those whose health and safety may be threatened by cold, wet weather.

This past Thanksgiving weekend is a reminder that some residents in the Interior are struggling to find affordable housing, or are seeking emergency shelter.
