The Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, travelled to British Columbia to meet with B.C. farmers and hear how the recent extreme flooding and landslide events in the province have impacted farm operations, families and livelihoods.

Food and beverage producers and processers in the province can now apply for the next round of Buy BC funding to help make it easier for British Columbians to identify and choose products that are made in B.C.

New Raspberry Replant Program funding will make growers in B.C. more competitive, while increasing the bounty of raspberries in the province for fruit lovers.

Protecting and restoring our wild fish habitat and stocks is a priority for both the Government of Canada and the Government of British Columbia. We know that healthy wild stocks are vital to healthy ecosystems, the economy, the social fabric of B.C.’s coastal communities, and Indigenous cultures and livelihoods.
