The Province is making amendments to the Public Interest Disclosure Act (PIDA) to provide greater clarity for government employees who report serious wrongdoings under the act. 

People and communities throughout B.C. will have increased capacity to address racism and discrimination, and build intercultural trust and understanding as more than 190 new projects have received support through the BC Multiculturalism Grants program.

The Province, through BC Housing, has purchased a building with about 70 new temporary indoor shelter spaces for people experiencing homelessness in Victoria.

The Province, in partnership with the City of Victoria, is moving forward with four new supportive housing projects that will deliver up to 192 permanent homes with 24/7 support for people experiencing homelessness.

The Province and the City of Victoria have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that formalizes their commitment to work together to end current homeless encampments and help prevent encampments in the future.
