There have been more sudden infant deaths in British Columbia in the first half of 2011 than for all of 2010.

Federal representatives today commended B.C.'s Office to Combat Trafficking in Persons (OCTIP), on the launch of a training curriculum aimed at enhancing the ability of first responders and service providers to identify, assist and protect victims of human trafficking in British Columbia.

The general manager of the Liquor Control and Licensing Branch has determined there is again a real and serious threat to public safety that warrants the closure of 13 private and six public liquors stores located in downtown Vancouver tomorrow at 4 p.m.
