Premier John Horgan and Rachna Singh, Parliamentary Secretary for Anti-Racism Initiatives, have issued the following statement on the 73rd anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights by the United Nations (UN) General Assembly:

Community organizations throughout B.C. are receiving funding to help them engage their members on race-based data collection as the Province moves forward with anti-racism data legislation.

Rachna Singh, Parliamentary Secretary for Anti-racism Initiatives, has released the following statement in celebration of Multiculturalism Week:

New legislation will help maintain access to critical services that British Columbians rely on and protect those who provide those services, as the Province moves to prevent disruptive behaviour from affecting schools and health-care facilities.

Thirty-eight new supportive homes are opening in Surrey, while construction is set to start on 40 additional homes for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in the community.

Located in one of B.C.’s fastest-growing regions, the recently completed Abbotsford Law Courts will open in the new year.
