The Province, through BC Housing, is working on a range of new housing in Maple Ridge, including two new projects to ensure people previously experiencing homelessness in Maple Ridge are supported with stable housing and more seniors in the community have affordable homes.

The Province, through BC Housing, is working with the City of Kamloops to open three new shelters to provide approximately 115 spaces for people experiencing homelessness.

Families, seniors and people with disabilities in Vernon will soon have access to additional rental homes they can afford as construction begins on a 13-unit housing project in partnership with the Okanagan Village Housing Society.

Residents are moving into Cedar Place, a new 38-unit supportive housing building for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Salmon Arm.  

Seniors are moving into 107 new affordable homes in Richmond, which will allow them to live more independently and stay connected to their community.

People in need of a warm, safe place to stay during the cold, wet winter months will have access to additional emergency shelter spaces.

A new temporary supportive housing building with 40 safe and secure homes will soon be available for people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness in Richmond.

Women and children leaving violence will soon have a safe place to recover and rebuild their lives as construction begins on a new women’s housing project in Valemount.

Work is underway on a new housing development in Parksville that will provide 87 affordable rental homes for families, seniors and people living with disabilities with moderate and low incomes.
