Premier John Horgan; Melanie Mark, MLA for Vancouver-Mount Pleasant; Grace Lore, Parliamentary Secretary for Gender Equity; and Murray Rankin, Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, have issued the following statement to acknowledge the annual Women’s Memorial March for murdered and missing women and girls:

A new employer representative, Lorna Pawluk, QC, has been appointed to WorkSafeBC’s board of directors for a two-year term, bringing to the job a strong background and a long track record of advancing worker health and safety.

The Province, in partnership with the City of Vancouver and the federal government, is proposing two new permanent supportive housing developments that, if approved, would deliver approximately 230 new homes for people.
