Beginning June 1, British Columbians will benefit from innovative changes by the Province when the Civil Resolution Tribunal (CRT) begins resolving disputes up to $5,000 – combined with an increase to $35,000 in Provincial Court’s jurisdiction for small claims cases.

Leaders of British Columbia’s justice, public safety, mental health, substance use and social services sectors have committed to create an action plan on crisis response and continuity of care. The action plan is scheduled to be complete by November 2017.

The Province and City of Abbotsford are moving forward with the development of a new Abbotsford courthouse that will create new jobs, increase access to justice and build a brighter future for British Columbia.
