People throughout B.C. are encouraged to submit nominations for annual awards that recognize outstanding work in strengthening multiculturalism and fighting racism.

Mable Elmore, Parliamentary Secretary for Anti-Racism Initiatives, has released the following statement to acknowledge Islamic Heritage Month:

Racialized people can now share their perspectives in culturally safe spaces as 68 organizations across B.C. receive more than $300,000 to engage community members on the development of new anti-racism legislation.

Premier David Eby and Mable Elmore, Parliamentary Secretary for Anti-Racism Initiatives, have released the following statement in honour of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination:

Nominations are open to honour individuals and organizations that are championing multiculturalism and addressing racism throughout British Columbia.

Funding to tackle racism and advance racial equity is available for community organizations through the Province’s 2022-23 multiculturalism grants program.
