An addition at École K.B. Woodward is now complete, providing a more modern learning experience for students, one of the many investments being made in Surrey schools.

Five hundred more students in Surrey can look forward to moving into modern, engaging classrooms after an addition to Kwantlen Park Secondary School was approved.

The Province, Surrey School District and City of Surrey continue to work together to ensure investments in schools keep up with the district’s significant enrolment growth.

A 10-classroom addition has opened at Sunnyside Elementary, giving more Surrey students expanded, modern and connected spaces to learn.   

Investments through ChildCareBC’s New Spaces Fund are helping create more than 290 new child care spaces for school-aged children, and enabling more families in Surrey to access licensed child care spaces on school grounds, with more to come.

Students and families will benefit as hundreds of new school spaces open in Surrey. 

More parents in Surrey will be able to pursue work, school and other opportunities while knowing their children are cared for as the Province invests in more than 530 new licensed child care spaces.

Students, teachers and staff at Prince Charles Elementary and Queen Elizabeth Secondary schools will soon have safer learning environments now that seismic upgrades are underway.

A new, energy-efficient elementary school is coming to the South Newton neighbourhood, giving hundreds of Surrey students a modern place to go to school as more education investments are made to support one of B.C.’s fastest-growing cities.
