Jennifer Whiteside, Minister of Education, has appointed a team of special advisers to support the Prince George Board of Education to meet recommendations provided through a report on concerns of governance, student achievement and Indigenous relations in the district.

Students at Gitwinksihlkw Elementary school in the Nisga’a School District will soon have a new gymnasium of their own.

Students, teachers and staff at Abbotsford Traditional Secondary school will soon have a safer learning environment now that work is underway to seismically upgrade the school.

An important step in bringing a new middle-secondary school to families in Coquitlam’s Burke Mountain neighbourhood is complete, as government has approved the concept plan to build the facility.

Students and families in the Cedar Hill neighbourhood will soon have a safer, environmentally friendly middle school.

Families will have new options for child care on school grounds and through recreation-based programs, thanks to recent changes to the Province’s Child Care Licensing Regulation.
