More students and families in Burnaby will have access to affordable and quality child care with 160 additional child care spaces to be created on the local Simon Fraser University campus.

An expansion to Abbotsford Middle school will bring 200 more student spaces to the growing district as part of the government’s plan to expand schools quicker.

Students will benefit from a significant investment for Sardis Secondary school, which will create additional seats and expand the gymnasium.

The growing community of Langley will gain 200 more student spaces at Nicomekl Elementary school as part of the government’s plan to expand schools faster. 

Additional funding for early childhood educators (ECE) is helping recruit and retain staff in the child care sector, leading to a more supported workforce and better outcomes for children and families.

Students and families are one step closer to having a new elementary school with construction starting in the Township of Langley’s Willoughby Heights area.
