Students, teachers and staff at Wellington Secondary – home to one of the premier jazz academies in Western Canada – are relishing in their new state-of-the-art school following a $24.5-million seismic mitigation project to upgrade the facility.

Families in the New Westminster school district will benefit from improved transportation services thanks to $6,073 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.

Families in the Peace River South school district will benefit from improved transportation services thanks to $441,458 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.

Families in the Prince Rupert school district will benefit from improved transportation services thanks to $117,597 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.

Families in the Quesnel school district will benefit from improved transportation services thanks to $274,209 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.

Families in the Central Okanagan school district will no longer pay fees for students riding school buses within their schools’ catchment area thanks to $600,000 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.
