Remote First Nation communities in B.C. will soon be eligible for financial support to transition from diesel to clean energy.

British Columbians will pay less for electricity next spring if the B.C. Utilities Commission (BCUC) approves BC Hydro’s request for a decrease in rates.

To ensure BC Hydro is working for British Columbians, government is launching Phase 2 of the BC Hydro review, focusing on CleanBC electrification targets, new technologies, new roles for Indigenous Nations and examining future market opportunities.

With British Columbians eager to get behind the wheel of a clean energy vehicle (CEV), the government is releasing another $26.5 million and making changes to its popular CEVforBC rebate program to meet ongoing demand.

The Zero-Emission Vehicles Act (ZEVA), passed on May 29, 2019, means all new light-duty cars and trucks sold in the province will be clean energy vehicles by 2040, delivering on a key commitment the government made in its CleanBC plan.

As part of government’s CleanBC plan, the CleanBC Building Innovation Fund will support the development of advanced building technology and innovative low-carbon solutions for the places where British Columbians work and live.
