The Government of British Columbia is taking action under the Climate Leadership Plan to support investments by natural gas utilities that will increase the use of LNG and renewable natural gas in the transportation, marine and other sectors and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

The Province is helping build the rural economy and grow jobs throughout British Columbia by ensuring that sectors like forestry, mining, LNG, and oil and gas won’t have to pay PST on electricity purchases.

Energy and Mines Minister Bill Bennett and Chilliwack-Hope MLA Laurie Throness, along with representatives from Innergex Renewable Energy Inc., BC Hydro, Douglas First Nation and Sts’ailes joined to celebrate the Tretheway Creek Hydroelectric Project.
