The Province has released the 2025 Climate Change Accountability Report, reaffirming its commitment to climate action and affordability while highlighting progress in cutting emissions and advancing clean energy throughout B.C.

The Province is updating its zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) framework to maintain electric vehicle (EV) momentum.

People in British Columbia are invited to provide feedback about CleanBC, the Province’s plan to improve energy efficiency, reduce emissions and increase the use of clean energy.

The newly published Zero-Emission Vehicle Update 2024 report shows that British Columbia has been a leader in the adoption of zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) for more than a decade.

In response to the economic and trade uncertainty faced by people and businesses across British Columbia, the Province is taking action to provide stability in BC Hydro’s electricity rates during these unpredictable times, while keeping rate increases below cumulative inflation.

The Saulteau First Nations, in partnership with EDF Renewables North America, has signed an electricity-purchase agreement with BC Hydro, which will provide clean, renewable energy to meet increasing demand for power from B.C. homes and businesses.

BC Hydro has added a new solar-energy project to the clean-energy projects selected to advance from its call for power.
