Environment Minister Mary Polak and Community, Sport and Cultural Development Minister Peter Fassbender have issued an environmental assessment certificate to the City of Fernie for the James White Park Wells project. 

Every day, conservation officers around British Columbia are working hard to protect the environment and ensure public safety in challenging and often dangerous situations.

The Province is proclaiming the first-ever Conservation Officer Day in recognition of the important work done by B.C.’s Conservation Officer Service (COS) to protect the environment and ensure both human and wildlife safety.

The initial results of B.C.’s Climate Leadership Plan survey are in, and 92% of participants agree that climate change is a serious issue.

Environment Minister Mary Polak and Natural Gas Development Minister Rich Coleman have issued an environmental assessment certificate to Woodfibre LNG Ltd. for the Woodfibre LNG project, which is located in the District of Squamish. 

Environment Minister Mary Polak and Energy and Mines Minister Bill Bennett have issued an environmental assessment certificate to HD Mining International Ltd. for the Murray River Coal project, which is located 12 kilometres south of Tumbler Ridge.
