BC Wildfire Service crews plan to burn piles of woody debris near Williams Lake over the next six weeks to reduce wildfire risks in the area.

Helicopters will be used to minimize the spread of Douglas fir beetles on Pablo Mountain, starting as early as Friday, Feb. 22, 2019.

The Sugar Cane Development Corporation and the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association will receive $100,000 each under the special circumstances provision of the BC Rural Dividend.
