Chief forester Jim Snetsinger has reviewed all the relevant information and set an allowable annual cut of two million cubic metres for the Lakes Timber Supply Area. The new allowable annual cut takes effect immediately.

As part of National Aboriginal Day, the Province is announcing a new First Nations' woodland licence to support increased First Nations participation in the forest sector.

Effective immediately, the new allowable annual cut for Tree Farm Licence 44 will be 800,000 cubic metres, chief forester Jim Snetsinger announced.
